I know there are quite a few of you who are somewhat new to the site! Welcome and thank you for stopping by!

For all of you new readers, I thought I would do a quick post letting you know all the places you can keep up with Live to be Inspired. The following are the social media accounts linked to Live to be Inspired and why you might want to follow them as well! 🙂

This is by far the place I post the most. It’s just SO easy! Instagram is basically a photo journal of what’s going on with our family. I post pictures of places we are visiting, school projects we are working on, deals I come across when I am out shopping in stores, kid updates, etc. So if you want daily updates on our family life and what we are up to, be sure to follow along at @Live2bInspired!

I pin A LOT! I love that it’s like an online filing cabinet that is super easy to keep neat and organized. (Unlike my paper filing system that I can never seem to get under control!) 😉 No longer do I have to print out things I come across and then try to remember where I put them or attempt to save and bookmark magazine pages, I just need Pinterest. I pin recipes, I pin homeschooling ideas, I pin money saving tips, I pin decor ideas…basically you name it…I’ve probably got a board for it. 🙂 So I would LOVE you to follow me and join in on the fun! Make sure to let me know when you do follow so I can follow you back and start pinning things from you boards.

Confession, I am REALLY new to Twitter in that I just started regularly using it again. I actually started my Twitter account almost 5 years ago but then kind of thought it was going to die off and never really posted there. Little did I know what I was missing out on. I’ve started to interact on Twitter a lot more though (almost daily in fact) the last month or so and it’s AWESOME! So for all you tweeters out there, find me at @Live2bInspired! Twitter is where I re-post articles I come across, random thoughts I have, uplifting messages I hear and want to write down really fast, etc.
Facebook is probably the second most frequent place I post. It’s a great place for me to post reminders, links to articles I like, deals I find online that I want to share, etc. It’s also probably the easiest place for me to interact with all of you. (Although I am getting better at Twitter like I said above!) A quick tip, if you liked the Live to be Inspired Facebook page a while ago, you may want to unlike it and then like it again right after. The reason for this is that if you don’t interact with a page within 30 days of “liking” it, it will stop showing up in your Facebook feed! So you won’t get the updates and notifications. And this is true for all pages you like. So if you notice a page isn’t showing up as often as you want, try that little tip and then make sure to interact with the page at least once or twice within the first month! You can interact by commenting, sharing a post or even just liking one of the comments or posts! Super easy!
As you can see, there are definitely a number of ways you can keep up with the site! Select them all, or just choose one or two. To make sure you are seeing everything that gets posted though, I’d definitely recommend liking them all. 🙂 Not everything I post on the Instagram makes it onto the blog and vice versa. And it’s the same for Twitter and Facebook. So by liking all of options, you will get the most out of the site. 🙂

Utah Trip | The Trost Family 2014 Pumpkin Carving Night

20141012_153157

Every year my dad plants a bunch of pumpkins in his garden. Then one night in October everyone gets together and, he brings whatever has grown for the grandkids (and all their parents) to carve. We aren’t always in Utah for this tradition but definitely love participating when we are! 🙂

The grandkids all have a lot of fun selecting their pumpkin, choosing their design, etc.

This year, Titan decided to go with a Sonic design. Shocking, right?! In the picture above he is describing to Broc how it should all go down…
