Over the summer we had the chance to visit DelGrosso’s Amusement Park here in Pennsylvania. We heard they were having a Daniel Tiger Meet & Greet event and since we are big fans of that show at our house, we figured it would be a good excuse to make a visit to the park.

One of the first things we did when we got there was purchase some tickets for Titan to go on the rides. You can either purchase an all-day pass for the rides or just purchase tickets to apply towards specific rides.

Since I was still pregnant we opted just to get $10.00 worth of tickets for Titan to go on a few rides with.
Of course, he did decide to share and allow Broc to go on one of the rides with him. 🙂

After the rides, we went over to the Daniel Tiger event that was going on and participated in all the activities they had for the kids.

There were crafts, a scavenger hunt, games, and more. I was actually really surprised at how much they had for the kids to do. And, it was all free! 🙂
Since Delgrosso’s is known as “The First Family of Pasta Sauce” naturally one of the crafts was to make your own pizza.

After that it was onto the scavenger hunt. They had posters like the Daniel Tiger poster pictured above posted all around the park and on each one there was a word for the kids to unscramble.
Then, once they had all the words, they were able to turn them in for a Daniel Tiger “Welcome to the Neighborhood” Book and a jar of Delgrosso’s pizza sauce.

Titan immediately wanted to look through the book they gave us and it has been a favorite at bed time ever since.

…and here he is with his jar of pizza sauce. (Which admittedly, we still need to use!)
Last but not least, Titan with Daniel Tiger! 🙂
All in all, we really liked the park and will probably go at least one more time before we move out of PA. It was a smaller park but it was still fun and it was very well maintained. Plus, Titan liked that there was a whole area of rides that he could go on by himself.
