best month ever

photo taken on a drive up to park city when i was in utah.

hello october. hello indeed! so glad you are finally here again.

if i had to pick a favorite month, it would 100% be october. when i was younger it was the month school was finally in full swing, as were all the fall sports, and while i could care less about who won the games, i did enjoy bundling up for nights of socializing and cheering.

now, october is the month known for being perfect for sweaters & hot cocoa with a side of pumpkin (or zucchini) bread. the month the leaves are all showing off & pumpkins are seen on every corner and doorstep. the month for hayrides and visits to gardner village for a fall treat. the month of all the is good and right in the world.

zucchini bread made by my father-in-law with zucchini from the garden. so delicious!

literally everything about october is pure perfection to me. in fact, the word magical comes to mind when i think about this month.

as we all know, october is the month of halloween which oh halloween! how i love thee! how i love to decorate for you all month long!

for us though, it is also the month of my husband’s birthday (he’ll be turning 26) and it was supposed to be the month of my son’s birthday as well (yes, i love this month that much that i planned on having my first born have an october birthday like his dad). of course, i said was. it was until he decided to wait 10 days to come, making him a november birthday instead. yes, you read that right, 10 days past his due date, and even then i was induced. i forgive him though for a november birthday, because it was a fabulous day and overall a piece of cake delivery. i guess he figured october was a getting a little too crowded with celebrations and wanted his own month. of course now i own five, count them, five newborn halloween outfits that have gone unworn. all well, guess we’ll have to shoot for another october baby.

oh, and i can’t leave out that october is also the month i got married in! see, told you it was full of celebrations. i wasn’t kidding when i said i love october.

literally. the. best. month. ever.

happy october everyone!

He is pretty much adorable in his pumpkin shirt. You just about have me convinced on what a great month October is. My sister in law was due on September 19th and still hasn't had her baby yet. I told her about you and Ti and she was thrilled that someone had a positive overdue story to share.
